Create a Design Package

The design package is the unit of everything: one solution being designed, assured, approved, and then operated. All five lifecycle stages happen inside it, and every artifact (designs, documents, decisions, findings, plans) belongs to one.

Create One

From the workbench or the Packages list, choose New Design Package, give it a title that names the solution (not the project code), and optionally tag it for search and assign an architect.

Every package receives a human-readable design ID (like ACME-0012) alongside its internal identifier. The design ID appears on documents, exports, and diagrams; revisions extend it visibly (ACME-0012-R2), so lineage reads at a glance.

The Package List

The Packages view shows every package with its status: draft, in review, changes requested, approved, superseded, archived, with filters per status. Archived packages hide from the default view but are never gone.

What to Do First

A new package opens on Design Inputs, which is the right place to start: give it a summary, a few well-phrased requirements, the data classes and regulations that apply, and then walk the five-stage lifecycle.
